getting a job in santa fe part one

dropped off a resume at a tourist boutique
they sold cowboy boots and moccasins
they hired me on the spot
went in the next day
was led down the street to a different store
a jewelry store
was told to stand behind the 70% off counter
noticed all the original prices were crossed out then inflated
realized all of the employees at both stores were related
sleazy guy told me to get in the customers’ faces
to be really aggressive and sell sell sell
told me i should be touching the customers
(seemed like a bad/possible illegal selling tactic)
noticed some of the jewelry was priced thousands of dollars
noticed the jewelry was poorly crafted
talked to a 13-year-old employee for awhile
said he lived in jordan for a few years
he had really good selling skills
clocked out for my lunch and didn’t go back
