The public seems to believe that sex workers need to be “saved.” And apparently, the only thing that can turn a sex worker in a Good Christian American with Ideals is money. Guess what celebrities often have? Money. The public watches the Sheen media spectacle play out, and they think, “Well, maybe that hooker was getting knocked around. But I’m sure the chance to hang out with a millionaire really brightened up that hooker’s dismal and pathetic life.”

sex workers should have legal rights and their professions should be unionized so they'd be protected financially and have safer working conditions. other than that, fuck charlie sheen.
